Kathy Anderson is an avid plein air painter, a member of the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters, and has been on the faculty of Plein Air magazine’s Plein Air Convention & Expo for three years. A popular teacher who teaches nationally and internationally, the artist has received many top awards and is regularly invited to be a guest artist in prestigious national shows, such as Settlers West gallery’s American Miniatures show and Small Works, Great Wonders at the Prix de West show.
She is an artist member of the National Arts Club (New York City), where she has had two solo exhibitions, and her work is also in their permanent collection. Anderson has been featured in many articles in art magazines, including Fine Art Connoisseur, Southwest Art, and others. She is a signature member of Oil Painters of America, Allied Artists of America, Connecticut Watercolor Society, The National Arts Club, and the Salmagundi Club (New York City), where she is happy to be included in the American Masters exhibition for the fourth year. When not painting, Anderson can be found at her piano playing jazz, the second love of her life. She finds that the paths of art and music cross frequently and naturally.
Anderson is represented by The Legacy Gallery (Scottsdale, AZ; Bozeman, MT; and Jackson, WY), Susan Powell Fine Art (Madison, CT), Tree’s Place (Orleans, MA), Horton Hayes Fine Art (Charleston, SC), and Kristen Thies/West Wind Fine Art (Colorado Springs, CO).
